About Luggaway

Lockers, not counters. That's the whole idea.

Luggaway puts self-service luggage lockers inside the cafés, bars, gyms and hotels people already walk past. You book online, open the door with a QR on your phone, and nobody else ever touches your bag. It launches in London in September 2026, built by the team behind Cheeky Charging.

Why self-service

Attended storage prices in the attendant.

Every existing way to leave a bag in a British city has a person in the middle of it. Station left-luggage counters have staff to scan and shelve, and the price starts at £12.50 a bag. Shop-storage apps ask a café to take your bag behind the till, and the booking fee pays for the hand-off. Either way, you pay for someone to hold your things, and you hand your things to a stranger to do it.

A locker takes the person out. You unlock it, you drop, you close. That removes the labour cost, which is why we can charge £4 a bag a day with £3,000 of cover included, and it removes the hand-over, which is why you can open it as often as you like, share the QR with a friend, and see a timestamp every time the door moves.

We know a locker does not suit everything. Bikes, surfboards and prams will not fit, and we say so on every page. For the suitcase, the rucksack and the shopping, it is simply the better tool.

Where we come from

Built by the team behind Cheeky Charging.

Before Luggaway we built Cheeky Charging, which puts phone-charging hardware into venues across London. The lessons carried straight over: hardware has to survive a busy Saturday night, venue staff must never be asked to look after it, and the unit earns its corner by paying the venue a share. Luggaway is the same model with a bigger door and a USB-C port inside.

We are a small UK company at the start of the road. Founding venues are being signed now, and the first lockers go live around London's mainline stations. Everything on this site that says "coming soon" means exactly that.

What we promise

  • £4 a bag a day, any size. No service fee, no insurance add-on.
  • £3,000 per bag included from the moment the door closes.
  • Nobody else touches your bag. The locker opens for your phone.
  • Hours shown before you pay. If we get them wrong, the booking is free.
  • A person on the end of an email, round the clock, who can open a door remotely.
The venue model

A corner of a venue, a share of every bag.

Lockers live where people already are, and the venue that hosts one earns from it. Three parts, and nobody on the venue's staff touches a bag.

01

The venue hosts

A café, bar, gym or hotel with a spare corner and a plug socket takes a locker unit at no cost. We install it, maintain it and handle every customer question.

02

The traveller self-serves

Book online, walk in, hold a QR to the reader, drop the bag, close the door. Come back as often as you like, then collect before the venue closes.

03

Everyone gets paid fairly

The venue earns commission on every booking, paid monthly. Founding venues lock in the top rate. Travellers pay £4 and nothing else.

What we care about

Four things we will not trade away.

The price on the page is the price

No booking fee, no insurance upsell, no surprise at checkout. If the price ever changes, it changes on the page first.

Say what does not fit

A locker is not a cloakroom. We tell you what will not go in, and we point you elsewhere for it rather than sell you a locker that fails.

Venue staff never handle bags

The whole point of the model. A host venue earns from the locker without adding a single job to a busy shift.

Proof, not promises

Every open and close is timestamped and emailed to you. If the venue's hours were wrong and you could not reach your bag, the booking is free.
