Station guide

Arriving at Liverpool Street

London Liverpool Street is the terminus for Greater Anglia services to Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich and the Essex coast, and for the Stansted Express to Stansted Airport. The Elizabeth line runs through the station, linking it to Paddington and Heathrow in the west and Canary Wharf and Stratford in the east, and London Overground services fan out across north and east London.

For the Underground, the Central line is the direct route to Oxford Circus and the West End, and Bank is one stop away for the Northern line and the DLR. That matters for luggage storage because a locker a few minutes from Liverpool Street is a locker a few minutes from most of the city.

With your bags stored, the easiest things to do within about fifteen minutes on foot are Old Spitalfields Market and Brick Lane, five to ten minutes on foot, for food stalls, vintage shops and street art, and the Barbican and the City's churches and rooftop gardens, which are within a fifteen-minute walk on the other side of the station.

One practical note on timing: the last Stansted Express leaves before midnight and most Greater Anglia services stop soon after, so give yourself time to get back to your locker before the venue closes. The host venue's hours are always shown before you pay, so pick a location whose closing time sits comfortably after your planned collection.

Nearest station exits

Exits lead onto Bishopsgate, onto Liverpool Street itself and, from the Elizabeth line, into Broadgate. Spitalfields and Shoreditch are a short walk east of the Bishopsgate exit.

Once a locker near Liverpool Street is live, this card names the venue, the exit to use and the walking time.

Questions

Luggage storage at Liverpool Street: your questions

Station-specific answers. The general FAQ on the homepage covers cancellations, what you can store and what happens to uncollected bags.

Where exactly are the lockers near Liverpool Street?

Inside host venues a short walk from the station: cafés, bars, hotels and shops with a spare corner. We are signing the founding venues now and only publish an address once a locker is installed and taking bookings, so check back here or join the launch list. The first venues are being signed on the Bishopsgate, Spitalfields and Shoreditch side of the station.

How much does luggage storage near Liverpool Street cost?

£4 per bag per day, whatever the size of the bag, with £3,000 per-bag cover included and no booking fee. A short stay of up to three hours is £2.50 a bag. Two cabin cases can share one large locker for £6 a day.

Can I leave my bag overnight at Liverpool Street?

Yes. A booking that runs past midnight is simply charged as another day at £4 a bag, and the bag stays inside the locker the whole time. You collect during the host venue's opening hours, which are shown before you pay, and sites open round the clock carry a 24/7 badge.

When is the last time I can collect my bag at Liverpool Street?

Whenever the host venue closes; the hours are on the location card and in your confirmation. Bear in mind that the last Stansted Express leaves before midnight and most Greater Anglia services stop soon after, so give yourself time to get back to your locker before the venue closes.

Which Tube and train lines serve Liverpool Street?

The Underground station is on the Central, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines, plus the Elizabeth line. For mainline services, London Liverpool Street is the terminus for Greater Anglia services to Cambridge, Norwich, Ipswich and the Essex coast, and for the Stansted Express to Stansted Airport.

When do lockers near Liverpool Street open?

Booking opens in September 2026, London first, with station areas ahead of everywhere else. Join the launch list on this page and we will email you the day lockers near Liverpool Street take their first booking.
